Yes, there is a fancy remastering of Knights of the Old Republic coming at some point in the future, but if you own a Nintendo Switch, you will soon be able to visit that golden age of Star Wars on while on the go, or in the comfort of your own house.  Yes, on November 11th (yay, a holiday here in the states!), Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic will drop in the Nintendo eShop (or whatever they are calling it now), or via a physical cart. 

This will bring the full game from 2003 to the Nintendo platform complete with 40 force powers to learn, several planets to visit, and of course, making bonds and relationships with several party members that you will recruit as you work your way through the story.

And yes, I will say it and own it right here, but Knights of the Old Republic is not only the best Star Wars video game, I think it might be the best Star Wars story in any media format.
