Kong Is Coming Back to Consoles and PC in the Fall
It has been a while since we had PJKKTOGOTM (Peter Jackson’s King Kong the Official Game of the Movie), but Kong is coming back to your gaming PC and consoles this fall in Skull Island: Rise of Kong.
Skull Island: Rise of Kong will take our favorite ape on a revenge tale as he looks for the awe-inspiring saurian that killed his parents, Gaw. As you can see in the trailer and screenshots below, Skull Island looks to be a brawler, using the power and acrobatics of Kong to defeat the enemies that get in his way. As you play through the game, you will also unlock hidden mysteries about Skull Island, while learning more about the backstory and origins of King Kong.
I should note that I don’t think this has any relation to the MonsterVerse that is out there, and this Kong will have its own unique backstory that might be different, but I don’t have anything concrete on that yet.
That said, this looks to be coming in at a friendly price for gamers at $39.99, or a deluxe version for $10 more. You can see more screenshots from Skull Island: Rise of Kong below.
